Wow it's been eons since I set foot on this website again... hahaha. Wondering how many out there still visit my blog only to find that it's growing cobwebs... LOL.
So anyway J2 is busy. Always rushing to clear tutorials as fast as possible so that you don't lag behind... but anyway most of the content subjects have finished so it's left with revision. Hmm... must work harder for mid years I guess. Struggling to start from the bottom again for Physics but I hope I don't neglect my Chem and my Maths. And Econs especially.
Hmm... recently I picked up Korean culture again. First got in touch with it in secondary school when I was studying Jap. I forgot was it Pang or Tan sensei that was constantly referring to Korea while teaching Jap. Haha I also realised that Korea and Jap are very similar, particularly the cherry blossom seasons in April. In Korean it is known as 벚꽃 (beojkkoch) while in Japanese it is known as 桜 (さくら - sakura). The flowers really look nice when they open. And it's amazing that the scenery in both countries look equally beautiful. Next time got chance must go Korea or Japan to experience. Haha... anyway I lost touch with Korean since the main focus was Jap... unfortunately though. I might have chosen Korean if there was a chance; Jap was really hard to study and I admired my friends back then who could do it well. So anyway, recently with all the K-atmosphere around my friends I also follow luh.
Really lost a bit of motivation to study liao... Physics is really getting on my nerves. Argh... can't give up!

It's now after lunch and I'm seated in front of my computer again... thinking about what I wrote in the morning. I mean, it's really true feelings because I experienced it personally; it's not something that I wrote out of daydreaming.
But it's no point thinking too much about it. You see, the more you think about something, the more engrossed you become - then the more feelings you generate from just one small incident. It's always such emo-ing sessions that things get blown out of proportion. So... I guess it's best to put it aside and not to think about it.
Going to study physics soon... good luck to my class tomorrow for physics. :)

The heat is getting unbearable these days...

How I wish I could have done better. Something is bugging me recently but the more I think about it the worse I feel. Every night I put myself to sleep thinking it will get better next day but it doesn't always happen. Everyday is like a sine curve, ups and downs, though I prefer more ups than downs.
Sometimes I can't help but feel what the next day will be like. I know it always starts off good - but at the end of the day it may not turn out like what you expect it to be. Things like a smile can end your day happily while others, like the face of irritation, frustration, anger, annoyance... they set you thinking what has gone wrong and thus your day ends up in a pool of perplexcity. Though these feelings may be short and temporary, they can accumulate long term and destroy the inner self of a person. That is why when marriages break down, people often are pushed to the brink of insanity. And when that happens, things spiral out of control.
I wish I can repair the things that didn't turn out well in the past year. I wish I can change for the better. I wish I can make better impressions on people. I wish I don't have to worry about what I've done wrong because it is very bad on one's mental health (I don't mean I'm going crazy). Sometimes it's very hard to visualise what perceptions people have on you but somehow clues always drop that come to you at surface level, staring right at you in the eyes. Only then you realise that something has gone terribly, terribly wrong... Though people may not notice it but the clues that they leave behind hints. Very strongly. It might be a small matter to them but has a significant impact on others. Though they can talk to you in a friendly manner, but beneath their soul lies the inconvenient truth. The irredisputable fact that shields their facial emotions although they might have thought they have hidden it from you successfully; people can see through others just by the way they speak; their actions or the way they treat you in general. They can be good-natured but they can backstab you so hard that you lose so much blood internally in just a matter of seconds. When your heart sinks, they don't bother. When you are unwell, they don't care. When you're upset, they laugh away happily. When will things change for the better?
My wish... to treat people better so that others can treat me better.
My wish... to make up for all the mistakes I've done and hope that I can change the impressions others have.
My wish... that tomorrow can be a better day...

Singapore police esorted PRC “hijackers” of SBS bus to cab instead of arresting them January 19, 2010

A PRC family of 5 was allowed to create nuisance and disorder on a SBS bus in public causing much inconvenience to other passengers right under the watchful eyes of the Singapore police.
Both Chinese tabloids Shin Min Daily and Lianhe Wanbao carried a report yesterday on a PRC family who insisted on boarding a SBS bus with a wheelchair though they were told by the bus captain not to do so due to safety reasons as the bus was not equipped with wheelchair accessibility facilities.
They made a din on the bus for six hours before leaving in a cab paid for by SBS. The police was called to the scene, but they were unable to stop the public disturbance and allowed the saga to continue.
Under the new Public Order Act introduced specifically to deal with such incidents, the police are vested with the power to “move” the offenders away from the scene.
For some inexplicable reasons, the two police officers did not evoke the Public Order Act to stop the public unrest and was photographed to be reasoning with one of the PRC ladies and helping the elderly among them alight from the bus subsequently.
When interviewed by Lianhe Wanbao, 48 year old Madam Lin who worked in the media industry said angrily:
“The bus did not put out any sign that forbid wheelchairs to be brought up and we did not commit any crime. So why was the bus stopped by the road and refused to fetch us home?”
Madam Lin and her family had already committed a crime if not a series of crimes – they can be charged for a variety of offences under the Public Order and Nuisance Act (Chapter 184) such as causing harassment, alarm or distress to others, making excessive noise in public and of riotous, disorderly or indecent behaviour, each amounting to a fine of no more than S$1,000.
If they were Singaporeans, they would probably be arrested on the spot and taken away for “obstructing” the police from discharging their duties, let alone allowed to continue their nonsense on the bus for so long.
From this and previous cases, the Singapore police appears to dish out preferential treatment to foreigners.
When over 200 PRC workers protested outside the Ministry of Manpower last year for unpaid wages, the police was seen standing around them and not taking any action.
However, when two Singaporeans – Seelan Palay and Chiong Kai Xiong stood outside the same compound to protest against the deportation of their Burmese friends by the ruling party, they were arrested on the spot and taken away by the Singapore police within thirty minutes.
Similarly a PRC woman was allowed to “protest” at the Ministry of Education headquarters last week for the entire day till midnight demanding its staff to transfer her daughter to a top primary school. The police could have arrested her immediately to stop the ugly fiasco, but again did not do so.
Yet five Singaporeans were arrested for “illegal procession” when all they did was to walk in a group from one point to another in public. The case is still ongoing after three years. Though a District Judge had already acquitted them, the Attorney-General Chambers found fit to lodge an appeal against the decision.
The Singapore police is extremely efficient when dealing with locals, especially if they happen to fall on the wrong end of the political divide. But when it comes to foreigners, they seem pretty lost on what to do like how they allowed a prime suspect in the double hit and run accident at Bukit Panjang last month to “slip” through its dragnet.
Such police inaction and impotence will only serve to embolden foreigners in Singapore who may get the wrong impression that as long they make “noise”, they will be able to get away with almost anything in Singapore.
The Singapore police should remember that they are paid by Singapore taxpayers to serve the interests of the public and not to protect the foreigners.
In this example, more than 10 passengers, some of whom were Singaporeans had to be transferred to another bus just because of the silly antics of this PRC family which could be prevented in the first had the police decided to take action against them.
Not only did they get away with the crime, they were even “compensated” with a free taxi trip home by SBS with the Singapore police “serving” as “road usherers” to help them down the bus and “escort” them to the taxi, making a mockery of the “rule of law” in Singapore.
It is highly unlikely that this PRC household who caused disruption to public transport and inconvenience to other commuters will be charged by the Singapore police. In fact, it will not be surprising at all if the Singapore Police were to send them a letter of “apology” to soothe their frayed nerves.

Right. Some keypoints to note:
1) This family of people actually created a din lasting 6 hours long and weren't charged for their crimes. 2) I know that we should pity a 90-year-old woman but seriously, if a bus driver doesn't allow you to board means you shouldn't board! 3) The way SBS Transit and the Police have handled the case will only promote the consencus that we can create a public nuisance outside and still be let away scot free in a cab free of charge. Is that common sense playing me, or was it something went terribly wrong? It seems otherwise promoting the fact that we can all learn from this stupid childish 48-year-old actions - she works in the media industry? That's very nice propaganda. Right - disgust me with your propaganda and instead I'll start to have more negative feelings towards PRCs.
I don't want to say much because if I am tempted to write more then vulgarities will spew out. Let the story tell the story. But just a keypoint to note - this incident has thrown off my opinion of people from China - especially women after what this 48-year-old has done. People can tell me that my ancestors are from China too but at least mine are more educated and mature than her. If I were actually on board the bus I would have given her two tight slaps - at least I know I can get away scot free.

Some food for thought, maybe. Let's see how much more nuisance they can cause. I am actually lucky because:
1) I wasn't in that particular bus; 2) I didn't have to see that 48-year-old's face and listen to those immature remarks. Goodness knows if I might throw up if I see that. And it's all too against my morals to listen to her garbage.

The recent “hijacking” of a SBS Transit bus by a PRC family of five caused a massive outroar in cyberspace with many netizens lampooning their antics and police inaction against them.
The family was not allowed to carry their wheelchair to board the bus due to safety reasons as it is not wheelchair accessible. Though the bus captain had explained to them earlier, they refused to bulge and went up the bus.
The bus captain had no choice but to park the bus alongside a road and after consulting his superiors, transferred the other passengers in the bus to another one.
The PRC family continued to protest vehemently on the bus for five hours and even the police who arrived later was unable to do anything about it. The fiasco was settled eventually when SBS paid a cab to send them home.
The ugly saga made a mockery of the ruling party’s much criticized “foreign talent” policy and its vain attempts to “integrate” the new citizens, many of whom hail from mainland China into Singapore society.
Netizens were up in arms when hearing the story with more than 50 comments posted on The Temasek Review in less than three hours questioning why they were not arrested on the spot for unruly behavior.

The ruling party has resorted to mass importing foreigners from overseas, especially China to boost Singapore’s declining birth rates over the last few years.
Unfortunately, Singapore is not getting the best talents from China who prefers to emigrate to the U.S., France, Canada, Australia and South Korea and we end up, but uncouth peasants from the poorer inland provinces instead.
With more and more of them flooding Singaporeans, it is little wonder that MM Lee is concerned that native Singaporeans, who are described by SM Goh as “sheep” will be unable to compete with these more “hard-driving” and “hard-striving” “lions”.

Well having really done much work... have to get started soon.
Hopefully the retest people are fine. :)
Anyway I saw a new game from PS3 called LocoRoco Island, it's really kiddy but the music is quite nice. XD As far as I know they could be Japanese music, but nobody has really confirmed they are Japanese.

Sick. :(
Walau don't leh, I was in the mood to start doing homework because at home very bored, then come this. =.= Cough sore throat flu, very nice symptoms for H1N1 eh, luckily the so-called flu was temporarily, my temperature remain at like 36.5 deg, so heng ah. I don't want to be quarantined at home for 10 days like what happened to my bro that time. :(
Hope tomorrow get better... now no mood to do work liao, so going online seems to be the norm again. Must not be distracted...
Cannot think of why I got sick leh, trying to run through past few days before I kena flu on Sunday night... most likely due to Friday lor. Cos I was slightly drenched in the rain. =X

Reviving my nearly dead blog... haha.
Been some time since I posted... holidays have started yet no motivation to start anything within this week. OK maybe next week. Lols.
Bringing a tourist from HK around from Thu to Sun... quite busy... yikes!
Anyone heard about the mass murder in Phillippines yet? Quite scary, bloody and brutal. Thankfully none of these sort happens in Singapore, but at the same time I symphatise with the relatives and families of those brutally killed - 46 to be exact currently.
I definitely hope that justice be brought upon to those responsible for the murder - they should definitely deserve a death in a similar way they carried out to their victims, if not more brutally. Merely reading the stories from the press was enough to disgust me.
Anyhow, this reflects something in the society. Those who resort to such means themselves are losers - probably under depression or have been bullied from young. It's a pity they have to resort to such means; politics has never been a peaceful issue, but why murder people just to ensure that you stand a better chance to being governer of some place? Even if you did, people have utterly zero respect for you. :/
Similarly, recently there have been some issues boggling my mind - such as how some people as young as 13/14 can resort to stealing public property, and how some people as "mature" as 20 can resort to vandalising public property! I feel the most sorry for them - they probably have had poor childhood or had bad upbringing. I feel sorry for their parents - they were probably too busy to manage their children. Even though the issue I had about a 20-year-old person vandalising the windows of what seems to private property, it only reflects what similar things he can do to public property as well!
Hoping they would change for the better - but it doesn't seem so. They still continue to steal and vandalise. Pity their parents if their children were ever to be towed to the authorities - even though I feel they should be taken to the authorities. At least, get rid of these scumbags that are a menace to society and boil them in the iron bars of prison.

Tonight, another milestone of PW is completed... after meeting up various times, consulting ST numerous times (actually quite few nia), splitting work and meeting online on MSN to discuss for alot of times, the WR is finally done!! :D
Just went to photocopy 3 sets of our 20th WR draft (YES 20th draft; we have changed the WR 20 times since first doing it!) to submit in tomorrow... hopefully all our efforts have not gone to waste. (: So damn tired now...
On a side note, feeling happy for the people in Groups C and D because the school gave all of them a retest... means our class won't really shrink much! Wishing the people in Group B, C and D all the best for retest then. :DD

Hmm so, got back promo results. Not very satisfying, at least I was promoted (was at the borderline type of thing... had been worried for past 3 days) so there's not much to be sad about.
Not. It's damn sad to see your own friends, some who have worked sooooooooooo terribly hard trying to at least scrape past the promotion criteria, still fail. Had 2 asked to leave, and 1 asked to retain. Earlier on at the LT4 listening to Ms Leong, I was shocked to see my AB friend not in either the A group or B group, meaning he either retained or was advised to leave... it's just so sad.
I mean, he was a great guy, lively and friendly (tall and handsome too!) but he had to go so soon, and we barely knew each other for a little over 4 months. Feeling distraught now, but there's not much I can do. Haiz...
Shan't spoil my feelings more. Going to Alex's dinner at Tanjong Pagar later. And also, those taking retests, wish you all the best. (:
Didn't go for movie today, went to sleep instead. Had the air-con turned on but still woke up in cold sweat O_O. Guess thats the power of heat dissipating from Panadol Extra!
Wonder if I can go school tomorrow... don't want to miss OP workshop for fear of having to do OP rehearsal with strangers on Friday. T_T
